California has hundreds of high school chess clubs and almost no structure for them to play one another. LCCC exists to build that — interscholastic fixtures across districts, open to any school.
The format is tested: the Inaugural Placer Chess Championship in May 2026 ran six teams from five schools through five rounds and seventy-five matches in a single day, and finished in the black. Founding member schools are being recruited now.
Co-founded by a team of six. Rather than one-off events, we place permanent collection stations in school front offices, so giving happens where students already are — supported by a school-representative program with a student lead at each site.
